October 21: Another Note

Went grocery shopping after work and then spent the evening reading, but read too much/too long and now it’s late and I’m discombobulated again. The work day was really quiet and I am swimming upstream trying so hard to do the things I’m supposed to do even though I very well don’t want to do them.

It’s probably not a very good balance between doing and just, like, ignoring everything… I don’t know.

Tomorrow I should probably spend some time cleaning/organizing but I’ll also probably nap because I need to get some more sleep in here somewhere.

I started reading my spooky season stuff today, with the first half of “Teatro Grotesco,” the short story. I really, really like it so far, though as always I have no idea where it’s going or if it will stick the landing for me. It’s so deranged and weird, and the tone of the narration is so… well I don’t have words at 1am. I’m going to think about it some more especially after finishing it, which I think I’ll do tomorrow unless something unexpected happens.
