Louvre day today! Trying to do as much of the museum as possible in one day is certainly… a lot, but I feel good about the adventure. We saw the Mesopotamian art, the Northern European art, and, after some wandering, the Egyptian art, or at least some of it. We also had time to walk around the Tuillieries beforehand, which was much prettier than during the gray, cold winter I spent here, sitting by the fountain amid all the dead grass and dirt.

I was so wiped by the time we left, though. I’m glad we saw as much as we did but a lot of the getting out part is a blur. I definitely reached the absolute brim of how much art I could take in because I was not taking in anything from the last couple of rooms. And my feet/legs hurt.

We went to get pastries/dessert/drinks at a nice cafe nearby and that helped sooooo much. Best drink I’ve ever had in my life. Also I got berries to eat; I have been sorely missing berries. And I felt very cute and Parisian.

Then we had downtime at the hotel (I browsed the internet and listened to NIN, as you do), and a late dinner nearby, where I had a salad that was also sorely necessary, and a spinach casserole, which was extremely cheesy, but felt homey and pleasant.

It is now very late because we stayed up talking AND tomorrow is an early day, basically our only really early day this trip, and I am not feeling very confident about this!! But we only have morning plans. Then we will have a more chill afternoon. So I hope overall it’s a good day.
