June 22: Weekend Note

Devoted most of the day to cleaning. I actually did do a lot, I think, but it doesn’t feel like I did, which is annoying. Some of it I guess is just less visible stuff, some of it is stuff I started but haven’t finished or can’t finish yet… I don’t know. I have been staving off the Sunday blues as well, which is understandable, given it’s the Sunday at the end of a long weekend…. Sigh.

On the other hand, I am yet again insistent that I will be productive after work this week.

And even though I didn’t write today, I’m proud of myself for writing this weekend. I’d like to work on my next Randomly Assigned Project after work–perhaps after work tomorrow? I’m not sure if this is an accountability sentence or something I’ll look back on later in shame. My next project feels a little easier, a little looser–probably just because it’s newer and I haven’t gotten to overthinking it yet lol. That’s okay. I’m still close enough to the writing I did on Thursday and Friday to remember just how good it feels to just type away for an hour or so and to feel at least a little excited, not just intimidated, about chasing that feeling again.
