May 31: Saturday

Yet again I write while very sleepy. Not much brain currently online. I’m very proud of myself for writing a little ficlet yesterday–more extremely niche fic to add to my collection!–and for doing more writing today. @riotsquirrrl also went to the farmer’s market, ate bagels and had conversation, had more writing and reading time, and went out to dinner. The weather has finally cleared out and but it’s not really hot so it was really quite an idyllic summer day and summer evening.

It has been really pleasant to write the last couple of days. As always, I’d like to keep this habit up, even though sitting down to write often seems to intimidate me. You wouldn’t think, after all these years at it and all these words written, but it’s always somewhat as if I must have peaked in some way and I’ll never really write that well again. And also as if this mattered in some way! But it’s not rational.

If I write more frequently, maybe it will be less frustrating to me that all seven of the projects in my rotation are aaaaaages away from being anything like done. At least two of them (three of them I guess) have outlines with a set number of scenes.

Ah, well. Eventually, eventually I will post again, if that’s even of interest to anyone.
