May 28: Another Note

Boo, late again. So I’m going to be boring. I got my grocery shopping done finally, and though there was some rain, it wasn’t too bad. Mostly drizzle and I was only out in it briefly before it cleared up again. I don’t think it’s going to be reliably better than that at any point the rest of the week. After that, I did basically nothing. Which is sort of a shame but I also sort of don’t care. Tomorrow I’m doing various cleaning activities, is the plan.

Work remains fairly quiet. I am still trying to work through my vacation backlog. Makes me feel like I have worth to have a backlog. Also went back to transcribing, and attended a Title IX training thing that, I must admit… was not terrible. And it was an hour 15 minutes and not 2 hours as it was scheduled, so that was good.

I am soooo close to finishing Maurice. I don’t know that I’m fully ready to let go of the book yet… I feel like I’ve read it thoroughly but like I have more… not to think, but to learn. I’ve been feeling sort of weird about my relationship to reading lately… I don’t know. I’ve found I have access to a recent collection of essays on it; it’s e-book access, which… I’d rather peruse it in paper but this does mean I can look at it immediately, I suppose.
